We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant with experience to join our team. This role involves assisting in payroll preparation, managing day-to-day financial transactions, and supporting various accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The position requires onsite work at our office in Ortigas Center, Pasig . Responsibilities Payroll Assist in preparing payroll and monitoring employee attendance and timekeeping records to ensure accurate processing. Verify employee leave balances and update records accordingly. Address payroll-related concerns and discrepancies raised by employees. Accounts Payable and Receivable Review and prepare invoices for clients, ensuring accuracy before sending. Monitor invoice status, follow up on unpaid accounts, and confirm payments received. Prepare cash disbursements, bank reconciliations, and cash flow reports bi-monthly. General Accounting Duties Record daily financial transactions with appropriate documentation. Maintain and update subsidiary ledgers, books of accounts, and filing systems. Prepare journal vouchers and checks in line with approved cash flow summaries. Reconcile intercompany balances on a monthly basis. Assist in preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulations. Financial Reporting Prepare quarterly budget reports and monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. Develop financial statement reports for management use. Assist auditors during internal and external audits by addressing queries. Compliance and Administration Support the preparation and filing of mandatory government remittances. Coordinate with the admin team to ensure accurate employee records. Provide certifications and other documentation as requested by employees or management. Additional Responsibilities Collaborate with other teams to provide timely and accurate accounting support. Perform ad hoc tasks and other related duties as required by management. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. At least 1–2 years of experience in general accounting and payroll processing. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with government compliance requirements for payroll and remittances is an advantage.
