Junior Accountant - Independent Contractor We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support our accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry and reconciliation skills, familiarity with accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online preferred), and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Base Pay Range $6.00/hr – $8.00/hr Key Responsibilities Accurately enter financial transactions including bank activity, credit card charges, vendor assignments, and journal entries. Reconcile multiple bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis. Organize and maintain accounting files and supporting documentation within Google Drive. Monitor and manage multiple shared email inboxes, ensuring timely responses and task follow‑up. Track and manage accounting‑related projects and deadlines using Asana. Assist with general bookkeeping duties, ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. Support the accounting team with ad‑hoc financial and administrative projects as needed. Qualifications 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred. Solid understanding of accounting principles and transaction entry. QuickBooks Online (QBO) certification preferred, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and task management tools such as Asana. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience supporting multiple entities or clients simultaneously. Familiarity with vendor management and invoice processing. Comfortable working in a virtual, collaborative team environment.
