The Junior Accountant is responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, month-end reports, and financial analyses. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, supports accounting operations, and assists in maintaining compliance with company policies and standards.

General Tasks:

  • Perform bank reconciliation for assigned company accounts.
  • Review and reconcile Due from Affiliates accounts in coordination with General Accounting (GA) and Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Review related receivables and payables accounts.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for monthly incentives and Profit & Loss (P&L) reports.
  • Perform other general accounting tasks and assist with internal reporting as requested by superiors.

Month-End Activities and Reports:

  • Record amortization of prepayments, accrual of fixed expenses, and monthly depreciation of fixed assets.
  • Record interest income, foreign currency revaluation, and necessary adjusting journal entries.
  • Prepare and review prepayment, accrued expense, fixed asset, and lapsing schedules.
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliation, receivables, and payables schedules.
  • Review expenses and provide variance analysis for assigned companies.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Management Accounting.
  • Experience: At least OJT or up to 1 year of accounting experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).

  • Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems.

  • Interpersonal Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Able to work collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and willingness to learn.
