The Server Hygiene Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the security, stability, and compliance of the organization’s server infrastructure. Reporting to the Server Hygiene Manager, this role focuses on the operational execution of patching, vulnerability remediation, security configuration, and audit support activities.

The engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring hygiene controls across server environments, ensuring systems are up-to-date, securely configured, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.

What You’ll Contribute
  • Execute regular patching schedules and validate successful deployment across server fleets.
  • Perform vulnerability scans, analyze results, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Apply and verify security configurations based on organizational standards and benchmarks (e.g., CIS).
  • Maintain accurate records of hygiene activities to support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve hygiene-related issues.
  • Assist in developing automation scripts and tools to streamline hygiene processes.
  • Participate in internal and external audits by providing evidence and technical insights.
What We’re Looking For
  • Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 1-4 years of solid working experience in System Admin or IT Operations
  • Experience in System Administration or IT Operations, preferably in a security-focused role
  • Familiarity with patch management tools, vulnerability scanners (e.g., Qualys, Nessus), and configuration management
  • Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server environments, including databases
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., BSP, ISO, PCI DSS)
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
