The Finance Officer (FO) provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. Responsible for budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. Responsibilities Assists in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization’s mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans. Trains the bookkeeper in raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters. Assesses the benefits of all prospective contracts. Ensures adequate controls are installed and substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits. Ensures programmatic success through cost analysis report, and compliance with all contractual and programmatic requirements. Oversees the management and coordination of all reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports; Development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets. Oversees all purchasing activities. Develops and maintains systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization. Monitors banking activities of the organization. Ensures adequate cash flows to meet the organization’s needs. Oversee financial reporting of the organizations savings. Investigates cost effective benefit plans and other fringe benefits which the organization may offer to its employees and potential employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals. Oversee the financial statements and cash flow projections for the use of Executive management, as well as the Audit/Finance Committee and the Board of Directors. Assists in the design, implementation and timely calculations of wage incentives, commissions, and salary for the staff. Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets, including assets purchased. Prepares work papers, and supporting schedules for the manual financial review. Works with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits. Reports, Analyzes and Ensures integrity of all financial information. Prepares monthly Financial Statements. Perform other duties that may be delegated by the Hospital Administrator and the Board of Directors. #J-18808-Ljbffr
