Technical Consultant - CRM

The Technical Consultant’s primary responsibility is to carry out all configuration and development activity. The Technical Consultant will be required to analyze and contribute to functional specifications provided by business users and produce technical specifications. The Technical Consultant is involved at each stage of the software development lifecycle from helping to assess the feasibility of an identified business requirement, through documentation, development, testing & delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnostic and Analysis
  • Design — Collaborate with the consultants in writing the technical design documents
  • Development — Customization of the product to meet the needs of the customer based on the specifications from the Application Consultant
  • Integration of the solution with the customer’s legacy databases and systems
  • Document custom developed functionality in accordance to documentation standards and best practices
  • Implement add-ons and code from third parties
  • Initial test of the developed functionality
  • Function testing of the developed functionality with the financial consultant
  • Data migration development and testing
  • Deployment — Support integrated testing; in case of upcoming customization requests during the deployment phase, perform the design and development tasks in accordance with the defined change request process
  • Operation — Clear pending issues; Finalize documentation
  • Upgrade — Evaluate necessary upgrade customizations for new versions of Microsoft Dynamics and relevant ISV and add-on solutions
  • Reporting — Provide timely progress report on the customization projects; Ensure daily update on CRM Time Entries; Ensure that Balanced Scorecard is met; Attend team meetings

  • Knowledge of C# late-bound operations
  • HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Client-side development using jQuery and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Windows forms, API, Class Library and Console App development
  • Web Services and Utilizing SDKs
  • Managing solutions in Visual Studio (2013 or higher)
  • Business process understanding; follows development best practices and ensures modifications are documented

Technical Skills (Desired):

  • Professional Certification and accreditation strongly recommended or equivalent work experience
  • Strong MS SQL background
  • Knowledge in SQL triggers
  • Knowledge in workflow frameworks
