We’re looking for Platform Reliability Engineer who is passionate about building solutions that make life better for others, enabling visibility and comprehension of application health and performance; motivated by opportunities to automate processes to improve system reliability and customer experience; to experiment with new technologies and guide others.

The team provides consulting and education on reliability practices to other teams, creates new tools, and finds innovative ways to surface operational data and simplify the lives of our colleagues. We are an integral part of the transformation to become a data-driven organization

Position Responsibilities:
  • Support our Product Line Engineering (PLE) organizations to develop resilient and highly scalable applications, working closely with operations staff to maintain application reliability.
  • Champion, promote, and deploy effective application monitoring and AIOps-based machine learning tools.
  • Facilitate monitoring and custom instrumentation across critical applications, including managing agent-based, agentless, synthetic, and scripted monitoring technologies.
  • Address incidents and problems within platforms, with rotational on-call support.
  • Collaborate with platform and software engineers, site reliability engineers, product managers, and leadership to uncover challenges and opportunities to deliver more value.
  • Prototype and build new capabilities to enhance platform operations and security.
  • Deliver an outstanding user experience focused on reliability.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in Observability and Monitoring.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation languages such as Powershell, Python, Java, Javascript, NodeJS, or Ruby.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic, Broadcom CA APM, Dynatrace, PRTG, Solarwinds, Grafana, ADX.
  • Familiarity with AIOps technologies such as Moogsoft.
  • Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their native monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with IaC or OaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with collaboration tools like ServiceNow, xMatters, Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with open-source tools, GitHub, Agentic AI.
  • Previous experience in DevOps, SRE, or observability roles involving platform monitoring.
  • Experience building and maintaining observability pipelines (logs, metrics, traces).
  • Knowledge of modern software architecture and API development.
  • Amenable to work at UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City), on a hybrid setup (3x a week onsite), and in a rotating shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and metrics for system improvement.
  • Experience building dashboards with PowerBI.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of networking concepts.
  • Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
