Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is an engineering discipline that integrates software and systems engineering to design, build, and operate production systems. The SRE team ensures that the company's services—both internal and client-facing—maintain high reliability, availability, and performance. They continuously improve system efficiency and scalability while keeping a close watch on capacity, uptime, and overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the full service lifecycle — from design and setup to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Build, configure, and maintain servers, systems, and related infrastructure according to project requirements.
  • Monitor system health daily to ensure reliability and performance, reviewing logs, verifying backups, and addressing issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular security checks to identify and prevent potential risks or intrusions.
  • Recommend new tools and technologies to strengthen security and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with system migrations, upgrades, and automation initiatives.
  • Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews to enhance system reliability.
  • Perform regular tuning, patching, and updates to keep systems secure and optimized.
  • Maintain clear documentation for setup, configuration, and maintenance processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting POSIX-based operating systems such as CentOS, Ubuntu, or macOS.
  • Strong expertise in at least one server-grade Linux distribution (e.g., CentOS or Ubuntu).
  • Solid understanding of database management, SQL queries, and performance optimization (MySQL/MariaDB).
  • Proficient in scripting with tools like Bash, Python, or Perl; knowledge of languages such as PHP, C, C++, or Java is an advantage.
  • Experienced in setting up, configuring, and managing WordPress environments.
  • Familiar with system monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Sysdig, Papertrail, Nagios, Cacti, Splunk).
  • Knowledgeable in security best practices including SSL/TLS, SFTP, password management, and firewall configurations.
  • Basic experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Rackspace.
  • RHCSA/RHCE or an equivalent certification is required.

Pay: Php100, Php150,000.00 per month
