US Intermediate Bookkeeper

About this role We are looking for an Intermediate Bookkeeper with solid US Bookkeeping experience. What you’ll do Categorizing daily accounting transactions using Hubdoc (or similar software) and QBO Manage accounts payable (vendor bills) and accounts receivable (invoices, payments) - as needed/training provided Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly Assist with payroll processing (time entry, employee setup, pay runs) Maintain documentation and ensure accuracy of client financial records Send reports to clients monthly Prepare financial reports for tax returns at year‑end Prepare required 1099-NECs and 1099-MISC Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding outstanding items and questions Clean up and catch up of clients who have neglected their bookkeeping for a long period of time What we’re looking for 2-3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets Familiarity with payroll and tax compliance is a plus (can be trained) Comfortable with asking questions of supervisors (no guessing needed) Strong client communication skills - both written and verbal High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple clients Familiarity with 1120S and 1065 preparations and tax laws Ability to read IRS/State notices and form an action plan What’s in it for you Health Insurance, and Life Insurance coverage 21 annual paid leaves Annual increase (Annual Performance Review) Tenure Recognition Program Access to certifications and courses from Ab2 Institute of Accounting 20+ options of free coffee and chocolate drinks Billiards, table tennis, or foosball in our breakout room Work‑life balance and logging off on time for you to enjoy more personal time.
