Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining the organization's key accounting records and handling day-to-day financial activities, including the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions. The role manages accounts payable and receivable and ensures the company's financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal policies and government regulations.
Qualifications:
· Candidate must have 2–3 years of experience working as a Bookkeeper.
· Strong accounting knowledge and familiarity with bookkeeping principles.
· Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experienced in using accounting software.
· Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
· Experience working in a construction industry is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform day-to-day reconciliation and recording of financial transactions and expenses for each project.
· Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
· Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow and transaction records for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
· Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed by management.
· Collaborate with the general contractor or project manager to provide detailed financial reporting that ensures project costs, timelines, and budgets are accurately forecasted.
· Perform extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is accurately entered into the accounting system.
· Prepare, monitor, and process billings, invoices, and checks accurately and on time.
· Resolve any invoice discrepancies and maintain clear communication with suppliers and clients.
· Act as the point of contact with the company's external accountant for tax compliance and other financial matters.
· Strong background in reconciliation, billing, and accounting accuracy.
· Experience in construction cost tracking and project-based accounting.
· Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
· High attention to detail and confidentiality in handling financial data.
· Timeliness and reliability in processing financial documents.
