Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure our commercial activities comply with the H&S laws and regulations in the Philippines and Vietnam.
• Maintain and update applicable EHS licenses and permits.
• Deploy and comply with Philips Corporate Safety Standards and APAC EHS Procedures.
• Provide technical support to commercial projects and manage contractor safety.
• Lead and coach Philips employees in the offices on the deployment of health and safety programs, such as safety Gemba, risk assessment, accident/incident reporting, LOTO, etc.
• Conduct regular training and audits.
• Implement ISO 45001 certifications for the Philippines and Vietnam.

Activities

• Establish H&S annual management plan and monitor targets and performance monthly.
• Conduct monthly legal compliance assessments; manage regulatory reports, registrations and permits required for activities.
• Conduct accident investigations for all H&S incidents that occur during activities.
• Deploy safety Gemba/office fire and safety inspections regularly.
• Deploy global H&S procedures and conduct briefings to affected parties. Implement and maintain ISO 45001 certification for the Philippines and Vietnam.
• Coordinate and execute H&S audit procedures in conjunction with internal, corporate and external audits.
• Manage closure of corrective actions and report compliance status to the H&S Committee and APAC H&S Leader.
• Lead, participate in or facilitate multidisciplinary workgroups on issues such as emergency response, travel safety, BCM, office relocation, etc.
• Organize and document regular H&S Committee meetings and minutes.
• Share best practices, information, advice and H&S requirements in the Philippines and Vietnam, and ensure deployment, support and training when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Fluent in English
• 5+ years of experience in H&S management in an international business environment
• Familiar with the implementation of the ISO 45001 management system; certified internal auditor
• Familiar with Philippines and Vietnam laws and regulations
• Good people management and communication skills across organizational levels
• Team player, goal-oriented and pragmatic (gets things done)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; well organized
