Job Title: Safety Office SO3

Location: McKinley, Taguig City

Job Description:

As Safety Officer 3 (SO3), he/she ensures updates, compliance, improvement, maintenance in all of the OSH policies, regulations such as a. DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 198, SERIES OF 2018/IRR of RA No. 11058 and related matters thereto. He/she is responsible in ensuring the safety of all workers and/or safe operation of the plant, be sure to perform preventive maintenance checks on safety and fire protection facilities. He/she oversees the overall management of the OSH program in coordination with the OSH committee and all department heads/managers and trains the junior safety officers as necessary. Performs other duties / responsibilities as directed or other duties as may be assigned or other ad hoc tasks and projects as may be assigned such as the following:

  • Conducts regular HIRAC (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Control) on site.

  • Frequently monitor and inspect any health or safety aspect of the operation being undertaken with the participation of supervisors and workers.

  • Assist government inspectors in the conduct of safety and health inspection at any time whenever work is being performed or during the conduct of an accident investigation by providing necessary information and OSH reports as required by the OSH standards.

  • Conduct orientation/Trainings for the PROPER USE and SAFE operations of all key process equipment’s in the company.

  • Lead investigations into major incidents or systemic safety issues, employing advanced investigative techniques.

  • Schedule and oversee the regular WEM and FDAS activities

  • Work with the Facility maintenance section to secure the Permit to operate for the new application and ensure the timely renewal of all existing Permit to Operate of the company.

  • Ensure emergency response procedures are in place and known to personnel and engage in bi-annual emergency response drills.

Education:

Graduate of any 4-year degree course.

Licensed Secured/Examination Passed:

DOLE Certified Safety officer 3 /BOSH/Accredited OSH practitioner.

Required Working Experience:

Preferably with 2 years’ experience as OSH practitioner.

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in OSH, Health and Safety policies and guidelines.

  • With training related to loss control management (48hrs), HIRAC (48hrs), BOSH (40hrs), etc.

  • Must be an accredited Safety Officer (Level 3 – SO3) recognized by DOLE.

  • Must be Training of Trainers (TOT) Certified

Physical Requirement:

  • Good health and with pleasing personality

Working Conditions:

  • Can work long hours and can render overtime and emergency work related.

Special Skills:

  • Must have working knowledge in computer Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, ppt).

  • COSH, BOSH, LCM, HIRACAI, SSFM, ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management, ISO14001:2015/ISO9001:2015/IATF16949:2016
