Direct message the job poster from Eastvantage Overview Hiring for IT Engineer and Developer Professionals - PH Only We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer – Public Cloud with strong architecture experience to join our growing infrastructure and cloud operations team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and has a deep understanding of cloud technologies, system architecture, and scalable infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level cloud infrastructure with a focus on security, reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud strategy, migrations, automation, and modernization initiatives. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). Serve as a cloud architecture advisor, contributing to the design of infrastructure solutions that align with enterprise goals and best practices. Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation. Support cloud migration projects including assessments, planning, execution, and post-migration optimization. Monitor system health, performance, and costs, and implement automation and alerts where applicable. Implement and manage cloud security practices, including IAM, encryption, and network security. Provide Tier 3 support for infrastructure-related incidents and escalations. Collaborate with DevOps, application, and security teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native applications. Continuously research and evaluate new cloud technologies and services to drive improvements and innovation. Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, with at least 3 years focused on public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proven experience designing and deploying cloud architectures at scale. Strong knowledge of virtualization, networking, and security in a cloud environment. Proficient with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent). Experience in containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Solid understanding of cloud cost management, monitoring, and performance tuning. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect). Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments. Background in enterprise IT infrastructure and data center operations. Experience with compliance and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA).
