Job Description

The Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of invoices, processing payments, and maintaining financial reports. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable, be proficient in QuickBooks and Bill.com, and have excellent communication skills.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Vendor Invoice Processing: review and verify the accuracy of information on invoices and post related transactions in QuickBooks and Bill.com.
  • Payment Processing: prepare payment endorsements and ensure they are correct in accordance with vendor agreements.
  • Financial Reporting: run and analyze Accounts Payable aging reports and communicate unusual items to management.
  • Month-end Closing: assist the Director of Accounting in the monthly closing process related to accounts payable recording.
  • Compliance and Controls: adhere to internal reporting and support the finance team in audit and compliance activities.
  • Analysis: provide valuable insights to management regarding accounts payable reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role, with experience working with a US-based company a plus.
  • Experience using QuickBooks, Bill.com, and credit card processing tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
  • Ability to work independently and own tasks assigned.
