DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process payroll accurately and on schedule (weekly, biweekly, or monthly). Maintain employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or benefits. Verify timekeeping records, attendance, and leave data for accuracy. Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other earnings or withholdings. Prepare and issue payslips and related reports. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as income tax, social security, provident fund, and other contributions. Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies. Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll journal entries for accounting. Maintain confidentiality of employee and company payroll information. Assist with payroll audits and year-end tax reporting. Stay up to date with changes in labor laws, taxation, and payroll legislation. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of payroll processing experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar). Strong Excel and data management skills. Familiarity with HRIS systems is an advantage. Knowledge: Thorough understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws. Understanding of accounting and reconciliation principles. Soft Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information. Good communication and interpersonal skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
