Job Overview: E-commerce Manager (Retail Background) The E-commerce Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the online sales strategy of a retail company. This role focuses on driving digital growth through effective marketing campaigns, seamless website management, and an enhanced customer experience. Working closely with cross-functional teams—such as marketing, sales, IT, and logistics—the E-commerce Manager ensures that online operations align with overall business goals and retail objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive e-commerce strategies to increase online sales and brand visibility. Oversee day-to-day operations of the online store, ensuring optimal functionality, user experience, and site performance. Lead and manage digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising. Analyze website traffic, user behavior, and conversion metrics using analytics tools to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with the merchandising team to manage product listings, pricing, inventory, and promotional campaigns. Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment. Monitor industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. Ensure adherence to e-commerce regulations, data privacy standards, and industry best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field. Proven experience in managing e-commerce platforms within a retail environment. Strong understanding of digital marketing, online sales strategies, and website management. Proficiency in platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar e-commerce solutions. Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) and UX/UI best practices.
