Overview Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: Month and end-year process Accounts payable/receivable Cash receipts General ledger Payroll and utilities Cash forecasting Revenue and expenditure variance analysis Capital assets reconciliations Trust account statement reconciliations Check runs Fixed asset activity Debt activity Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles Coordinate and complete annual audits Provide recommendations Oversee all payment transactions such as paper checks and so on Oversee data entry, validation, and processing of various types of invoices such as general overhead, subcontractor, and employee travel reimbursements Keep track of the status of all transactions taking place within the company and external vendors and contractors Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be used by the company Be active on the customer service front and be quick and accurate with communication Perform work-related tasks as assigned Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accountancy Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager CPA preferred Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a management role Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to think strategically and develop long-term financial plans Experience with budgeting and forecasting Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements Experience with internal controls and audit processes Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders Ability to manipulate large amounts of data Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to direct and supervise #J-18808-Ljbffr
