Technical Writer

Technical Writer (Contract) – Mandaluyong, National Capital Region, Philippines

Location: Mandaluyong, National Capital Region, Philippines. This fixed-term contract includes full employee benefits starting on day one.

• Collaborate with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable industry standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides.
• Create comprehensive tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications effectively.
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities to optimize the efficiency of documentation processes.
• Develop and maintain the information architecture, ensuring that it meets current needs and can scale for future product changes and growth.
• Review, revise, and update content as necessary in response to feedback from end-users and product updates.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the product and communicate new features effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adhere to documentation guidelines and company style standards in all communication.

• Total Experience: 4 – 8 Years Industry Experience
• Relevant Experience: 3+ in Technical Writing
• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Advanced degree is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience with software development life cycle methodologies.
• Strong understanding of technical writing standards and industry best practices.
• Experience using tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Markdown, and documentation software like Confluence or MadCap Flare.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, SQL) and web technologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines, and capability to work in a fast paced, evolving environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, English, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in technical writing in a software development environment.
• Demonstrated experience with a software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent command of the English language with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex software applications.
