Senior Warehouse Manager

The Senior Warehouse Manager oversees the end-to-end warehouse operations across multiple distribution centers to ensure the efficient, accurate, and safe handling, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This role is responsible for optimizing warehouse processes, implementing best practices in inventory management and logistics, and leading warehouse teams to achieve operational excellence, cost efficiency, and service level targets. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise warehouse operations across multiple sites or distribution centers (DCs). Develop and implement warehouse strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company’s production and distribution goals. Plan and manage the effective utilization of warehouse space, manpower, equipment, and systems. Oversee accurate inventory management for raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and returns. Implement robust stock control systems to minimize discrepancies, wastage, and obsolescence. Coordinate with Production Planning and Procurement to align material flow with production and delivery schedules. Conduct regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and audit preparations. Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely deliveries to customers, distributors, or company branches. Optimize transport routes and distribution schedules for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Monitor performance of 3PL providers, transporters, and DC operations to maintain service quality and turnaround times. Ensure coordination between warehouse and logistics teams for smooth dispatching and receiving operations. Supervise and mentor Warehouse Managers and Supervisors assigned to different DCs. Set performance targets, monitor KPIs (e.g., OTIF, inventory accuracy, space utilization), and drive accountability. Develop training programs to improve staff capability in warehouse safety, systems, and operations excellence. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Lead process standardization and automation initiatives across all DCs (e.g., WMS implementation, barcode/RFID tracking). Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Drive Lean Warehousing and 5S initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. Enforce strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and warehouse safety protocols. Ensure compliance with government regulations, company policies, and audit requirements. Lead risk assessments, safety audits, and emergency response planning. Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, cost efficiency, manpower utilization, and operational metrics. Recommend strategies for capacity expansion, process improvement, and infrastructure investment. Collaborate with senior management on strategic projects and continuous improvement programs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. At least 8–12 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role handling multiple DCs. Proven experience in food manufacturing or FMCG industry is required. Strong background in inventory management, logistics coordination, and warehouse systems (ERP/WMS). Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills. Willing to travel regularly to distribution centers and plant locations.
