SEO Specialist Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented SEO Specialist to take ownership of both internal and client-facing SEO strategies. This role demands expertise in technical SEO, local market optimization, on-page and off-page SEO, and detailed performance reporting. You will be instrumental in driving organic growth and improving search engine visibility. Key Responsibilities Local Market Area (LMA) Optimization: Conduct research to identify client-specific target LMAs and develop geo-targeted strategies to enhance local search rankings. On-Site SEO: Perform keyword research, optimize website structure, meta tags, headers, and on-page content; conduct regular SEO audits. Off-Site SEO: Manage online business listings, directories, and citations; build and monitor backlink profiles; oversee SEO-optimized press releases. Technical SEO: Execute audits for crawl errors and page speed issues; implement schema markup and structured data; collaborate with developers and content teams. Reporting & Analytics: Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and key engagement metrics; provide monthly and quarterly performance reports and actionable insights; use data for strategic recommendations. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience : Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably within an agency environment. Skills : Proficient in Google Analytics, Search Console, SearchAtlas, SEMrush, and/or Ahrefs; strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical Knowledge : Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress.
