Manages and coordinates business and technical projects through all phases of initiation, development and implementation

Position Responsibilities:

• Leading and executing moderately complex technical and business projects across multiple stakeholders through all phases of development and implementation; ensure projects are completed within budget, schedule, and quality targets while meeting business objectives
• Establishes roles, expectations, and goals with team members
• Establish governance cadence with stakeholders and report on project performance against KPIs
• Direct and manage internal teams from multiple locations
• Work with stakeholders to define and manage scope, strategy, requirements and implementation
• Provide effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors and management
• Identify, analyze, mitigate, document, and control project issues and risks; escalate to management when needed
• Assist in hiring project staff and in developing, motivating, coaching, advising and managing the project team
• May manage technical components or act as manager of personnel, including evaluating personnel
• Monitor and manage employee engagement; provide career direction for direct reports
• Establish a knowledge base for the project; set up training and onboarding plans; support MITDC-wide training initiatives
• Ensure compliance to MITDC-wide Digital Engineering standards and processes

Required Qualifications:

• 5-6 years' experience as a Service Delivery Manager/Project Manager delivering complex technology solutions; university degree or college diploma
• Experience with broadly implemented technology stacks
• Experience delivering projects from inception through post-implementation using waterfall and agile methodologies
• Experience managing projects with stakeholders from multiple locations
• Knowledge of project planning and tracking tools
• Good verbal and written communication; ability to articulate technical vision and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certifications
• Insurance Industry experience
• ITIL Certification
• Working knowledge of BI, business processes, and/or correspondence management platforms; API/webservices integration
