Job Title: Intake Coordinator Hourly Rate: $6.00/hr Start Date: ASAP Job type: Full-Time ONLY ACCEPTING APPLICANTS IN THE PHILIPPINES Position Overview: The Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the referral and admissions process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both guests and referral sources. This position handles phone inquiries, reviews, and processes referrals promptly to prevent delays, and communicates with Liaisons and referral sources regarding referral status. The coordinator evaluates health records to determine acceptance or denial, requests bedside assessments when needed, and creates digital charts for new guests. They verify primary insurance coverage, obtain authorizations when applicable, and notify the Liaison once insurance and medication costs are confirmed. Additionally, the Intake Coordinator accurately records data in the Admissions Summary Log, provides guest pick-up details to the receiving facility, and performs other related duties as assigned. Job Responsibilities: Handles phone inquiries and checks referrals. Processes referrals accordingly in the most expedient way to avoid losing a potential guest due to a lack of timely response. Communicates with the Liaison and referral source, notifying them of having received the referral and letting them know that an answer will be provided promptly on the acceptance or denial of such a referral. Reviews health records and determines whether the referral is accepted or denied. Requests bedside assessments from Liaison if necessary. Creates a digital chart for the new guest. Verify Primary Insurance coverage. Obtains authorization (if applicable) by calling the appropriate insurance provider. Notifies the Liaison if the medication costs and insurance are approved so they can complete their evaluation of the referral. Captures all appropriate data into the Admissions Summary Log. Provides the receiving Sante entity with the guest pick-up time Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Must have Clinical experience (LPN or RN) Must have at least 2 years of Intake coordinator experience Preferred knowledge in the skilled nursing admissions process. Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Medical terminology (practices & procedures) Ability to multitask in high-stress and high-demand environments. Preferred knowledge in the skilled nursing admissions process.
