We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant with a background in the Food & Beverage (F&B) and Construction industries. The successful candidate will support the procurement process by sourcing materials, equipment, and services, ensuring the best value for both industries. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Support: Assist the procurement team in sourcing goods and services related to F&B and construction projects.
Supplier Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors in both sectors. Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Market Research: Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and vendors, keeping up with industry trends, and evaluating new products or services that can add value to the company.
Order Management: Support the ordering process for materials, equipment, and supplies required for F&B operations and construction projects. Ensure timely delivery and proper documentation.
Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Assist in analyzing pricing and contracts to ensure the company gets the best value for money. Track procurement spending against budgets.
Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory records and assist in restocking supplies based on demand from F&B or construction needs.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain procurement files, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts. Assist in generating reports for senior management.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products and services meet the necessary quality standards for both F&B and construction purposes.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with internal policies and relevant regulations in both industries (e.g., health & safety for F&B and building codes for construction).
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Industry Experience: At least 2-3 years of procurement experience, preferably in F&B and/or construction sectors.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific products and materials for both F&B and construction is essential.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery conditions to secure the best deals for the company.
Organization and Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and ability to manage multiple procurement tasks simultaneously.
Software Proficiency: Experience with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
