Food and Safety Officer

Objective and Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Safety Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring food safety compliance, food safety protocols, HACCP standard, and other applicable regulatory requirements. This role also involves facilitating training and knowledge sharing to all members of the team.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety.


• Certifications in HACCP, or other relevant food safety and regulatory compliance programs are preferred.


•Minimum 5 years of experience in the food restaurant industry


• Strong knowledge in food safety protocols, HACCP standard


• Proven experience in developing and implementing food safety programs and managing regulatory compliance


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train kitchen staff


• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment


• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, as well as food safety management systems

Duties and Responsibilities:


• Develop & implement robust food safety and regulatory compliance programs to meet HACCP standards and other relevant guidelines


• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with food safety protocols


• Stay up-to-date with the latest food safety standards, HACCP requirements, and industry best practices. Communicate changes and updates to relevant stakeholders


• Collaborate with the team to develop and deliver training programs on food safety


• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submission of required documentation and responding to inquiries


• Investigate and resolve any food safety incidents, complaints, or non-compliance issues in a prompt and efficient manner


• Maintain accurate records of food safety and regulatory compliance activities
