CI&T is in search of a dynamic Manual QA Tester who is passionate about leveraging technology to deliver exceptional value to our customers. The successful candidate will be joining our high-performing and growing team in the Philippines. The role is Full-Time and will work the day shift following Australian time zones (AEST / AEDT) to better serve our customers.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing mobile and website applications to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This role involves executing test cases, identifying bugs, and working closely with developers to resolve issues.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform manual testing of mobile and website applications to ensure functionality, usability, and compatibility.Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.Identify, document, and track bugs using a bug-tracking system (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility across various platforms.Review and analyze system specifications to understand the requirements and develop test strategies.Provide feedback and recommendations for improving the user experience and overall quality of the mobile and website applications.Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on requirements, design, and potential problems.Prepare test reports and documentation to communicate test results and findings.Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties. Requirements & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.With at least 6 years of proven experience as a Manual Tester or similar role in mobile and website testing.Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.Familiarity with various browsers and devices (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, iOS, Android).Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Innovative and idea-driven, able to research, and suggest solutions to technical problems.Strong attention to detail and quality driven.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, connecting, and collaborating with others.Excellent communication skills and has the ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders.Currently, this job is open only for applicants residing in the Philippines.Depending on experience and interview assessment, the candidate may be considered for Junior, Mid, or Senior Manual QA Tester positions. Nice to HaveExperience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.Knowledge of performance testing and security testing is a plus.ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.Knowledge of accessibility best practices (WCAG). Salary Offered: Commensurate with experience

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)

Work Location: Makati City

Shift Schedule: Day (specific hours TBD); 9 hours a day, 5 days a week

Availability: July 2024

Interview Arrangement: All interviews are being held remotely through Google Meet.

*This position is to be outsourced to our EOR partner in the Philippines and will eventually be employed by our local entity once established.
