The Gallery Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to clients in a fast-paced gallery environment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative General Tasks:
    • Prepares and dispatches general correspondence, both local and foreign.
    • Prepares and dispatches quotes/offers to both local and foreign clients, as needed.
    • Catalogues prints/books/reference materials, etc.
    • Encodes new purchases and others.
    • Executes client presentations, client visits, and closes sales.
    • Prepares documents needed for the delivery of Sold Articles, i.e. print labels, Certificates of Authenticity to Invoices, DRs, etc.
    • Ensures collection of payments for sold articles in coordination with Accounts Receivable section.
    • Coordinates with Frame-shop for matting and framing requirements.
    • SRP calculation for Outside Work (OWs)
    • Prepares assigned Reports.
  • Gallery Specific Responsibilities:
    • Executes over-all gallery functions.
    • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the gallery.
    • Makes conscious effort to develop product knowledge.
    • Executes proper handling of sales transactions and inquiries in the aim of concluding a sale.
    • Monitors sale transaction until goods receipt and payment by client.
    • Arranges for replenishment of sold items.
    • Maintains and administers at least six (6) shows plus internal/external shows prepared by Curator or designate.
    • Quotes made to order mattings, framings and hanging system.
    • Executes merchandise transfers per SOP.
    • Performs basic framing and ordinary mattings.
    • Coordinates all sales related issues/events/work with the Gallery Sales Supervisor or designate.
    • Completes Daily Handover report for all Gallery related inquiries from clients as well as pending tasks.
    • Can work 6 days in a week (Saturday or Sunday).
    • Any business related course.
    • At least 2-3 years work experience.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2-3 years work experience in a sales or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
