Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Review:

  • Ensure full compliance with Australian tax laws, including GST, income tax, payroll tax, and other relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns and other required documentation.
  • Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from Australian tax authorities.

Advisory Services:

  • Provide expert tax advice to various departments, including finance, operations, and legal teams.
  • Stay updated on changes in Australian tax legislation and advise the company on necessary actions.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring continuous development and performance improvement.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and consultants as needed.

Process Improvement:

  • Develop and implement processes to improve tax compliance efficiency.
  • Utilize tax technology and software to streamline tax reporting and compliance processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CTA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 57 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to nonexperts.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and team management experience minimum 7 years in Manager role
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
