About the RoleThis is an opportunity to work on a world-class integrated resort project, with a gross floor area of approximately 200,000 sqm. The development consists of forty-four (44) stories, including basement and mezzanine levels, with offices, hotel guestrooms, VIP gaming, karaoke lounge, and a restaurant sky bar.
Key Responsibilities:- Reporting to the Client's Senior Director - Commercial for all commercial related functions of the project.
- Reviewing and assisting the cost consultant on the preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses.
- Advising on the administration of the terms of the building contract.
- Reviewing measurements and valuations of work carried out by the cost consultant and adjusting variations in accordance with the terms of the contract.
- Implementation of the project cost control and reporting procedures.
- Identification of all costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges.
- Assisting on the evaluation of claims for damages, delays, and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliers.
- Advising on the issuance of taking over certificates and ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
- Bachelor's degree in civil/ mechanical / electrical engineering or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or other relevant discipline.
- With QS consultancy background is an advantage.
- With sound knowledge on all construction work packages (CSA, MEPF, ELV, and FF&E).
- Proven experience in commercial management in construction.
- Sound understanding of costs and timescales of work undertaken and implications of risk of failure to deliver.
- Proven experience in areas such as risk management and change control management.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of FIDIC type contracts.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
