Official role title: Broker Support Officer

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Broker Support Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in our loan processing operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in end-to-end Broker support and loan processing, with the ability to work efficiently effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Broker Support Officer will be responsible for processing loan applications from research, submission and to settlement, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.

Detailed Description:

Process mortgage loan applications from initial submission to final settlement, adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.Ensure compliance with disclosure requirements and meet all compliance standards.Review loan documents and application materials for accuracy and completeness, including verifying income, assets, and credit consumer reports.Coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to gather required documentation and resolve any outstanding issues.Utilize proficiency in software applications such as Apply On Line, Simplology, Loan App to facilitate efficient loan processing.Perform valuations and assess property information to evaluate loan-to-value ratios and property eligibility.Instruct, follow up & complete reporting on Discharges with all funders.Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth loan settlements and closings.Maintain meticulous records of loan processing activities and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.Provide exceptional customer service by addressing borrower inquiries and concerns throughout the loan application process.Undertakes any other task or duties as deemed necessary by the management to achieve business goalsAssisting with ad hoc office related projects and initiativesNon-Negotiable Skills:Strong understanding of loan structures and lender servicing Assessing the borrowers funding position for a property purchaseAnalysing and researching bank policies and credit policies for lender options that align with the needs and objective of the borrowerPackaging and submission of customer application to lender. This includes interpreting lender credit requirements to ensure the appropriate supporting documents are held and provided to the lender Qualifications:Must have at least 2 years of experience with Australian mortgage brokerage/loan processingPrevious experience in end-to-end mortgage loan processing, with a strong understanding of loan origination, underwriting, and closing procedures.Proficiency in using Apply On Line and Credit Consumer Reports software.Familiarity with valuation processes and property assessment.Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accuracy and compliance in a high-volume processing environment.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with borrowers and team members.Experience with lender servicing, credit policy, file invite, RP Data, Core Logic, and Microsoft Office is a plus.Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines related to mortgage lending.What We Offer:Dayshift with Sat-Sun off - more time to spend with the familyLeave accrual upon hiringHMO for principal + 1 dependentSpecific client-initiated benefitsCompany-wide engagement activitiesA company that values its employeesCareer planning and development opportunities
