Job description

Report to Polembros Seafarer Recruitment's Crew Manager in Manila. Identify and recruit qualified seafarers with a passion for safety and a commitment to excellence Deploy a variety of recruitment strategies, including maritime recruitment platforms, industry networks, social media and more Manage the interview process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating logistics, and preparing interview questions Conduct thorough reference checking, assess documents as per relevant requirements, and perform background screenings to ensure candidate suitability Maintain seafarer data in company's enterprise resource program (ERP) Travel to and participate in industry events like job fairs, marine academy events Prepare and manage recruitment activities and budget Support all colleagues on projects or daily tasks as required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Psychology or a related field preferred 3 years of experience as a seafarer recruiter Extensive experience and understanding of international maritime and crew certification requirements and regulations (MLC/CBA/STCW/Flag/Oil Majors/Rightship/AMSA/USCG etc.) Extensive experience with modern ship management and crewing Enterprise Resource Programs (ERPs) In-depth knowledge of various seafarer positions and their associated soft and hard skillsets (Deck Officers, Engine Officers, Catering crew and Ratings) Extroverted people person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to easily build relationships with diverse candidates and maintain a strong industry network Excellent computer literacy Fluency in spoken and written English
