**Job Summary:** Support the Energy Sector Office in portfolio management, project administration, and budget preparation, providing analytical and statistical support for assigned projects.

As an Associate Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Energy Sector Office in portfolio management, project administration, and budget preparation.

The Energy Sector Office leads ADB's energy sector operations, managing policy development, strategy implementation, knowledge management, budget management, project quality assurance, sector analytic work, and loan and technical assistance (TA) processing and administration.

As an Associate Operations Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support project administration tasks for assigned loans, grants, and TAs, including procurement reviews and other project administration actions.
  • Contribute to the preparation and updating of Project Administration Manuals under assigned projects.
  • Compile data and statistics on contract awards and disbursements for assigned projects and provide analytical inputs to project team leaders and/or government counterparts.
  • Prepare and update project records in ADB systems following quality and service level standards.
  • Analyze project performance and provide inputs to the project team to help ensure project progress and performance targets are monitored and met.
  • Contribute to project-specific and/or portfolio reports and participate in regional or sectoral portfolio meetings.
  • Participate in project inception, review, mid-term review, special loan administration missions, and project completion review missions.
  • Contribute to data gathering and preparation of project completion reports and technical assistance completion reports.
  • Provide support in project processing missions, particularly in designing project implementation arrangements.
  • Support knowledge development, coordination, and management activities, and in organization of knowledge events.
  • Provide back-up support to other junior administrative staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, public administration, or related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in portfolio management, project administration, budget preparation/monitoring, and/or project processing activities related to loans and TA projects.
  • Familiarity with good industry practices and guidelines within area of expertise.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
  • Sound understanding of ADB procedures and practices related to TA and loan/grant project processing and administration, including safeguards compliance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with computer-based applications.
