JOB SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible in organizing the daily housekeeping operational requirements of Public Area, Casino, F&B outlets, Offices, Theatre, Back of the house, perimeter and other areas through outsource partners. S/He coordinates with agency coordinators to ensure agreed requirements and service standards are being implemented. RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Asst. Manager of Public Area in planning and organizing housekeeping operations. Regularly revisit established cleaning practices to improve the standard operating procedures (SOP) of Housekeeping Operation.Inspect public areas regularly to ensure high quality of service for public area operation through services rendered by personnel from outsourced agencies. Ensure compliance to established and agreed Quality Assurance Checklist (QAC), SOP's, P&P's, Work Flow and Time and Motions and other established standards and coordinate any inconsistency with agency coordinators for proper action.Report concerns to agency coordinators about their deployed staff's deviation to standards and other behavioral issues. Update Asst. Manager for Public Area about the issue so that corrective action of the agency can be monitored.Inspect all Front and Back of the House facilities of Hotel, Casino, Theatre, Restaurants , Offices, Car parks, etc. regularly. Record all findings and rating using quality assurance checklist and submit to Asst. Manager for compilation and encoding. Conduct scheduled weekly or as needed walkthrough with the help of Engineering and other business units to identify and give immediate solutions to all issues related to cleaning, defects, pest control etc.Ensure all regulated standards for Public Area issued by PEZA and Department of Tourism for 5 star hotels are observed and met at all times. Submit and communicate with other departments the proposed schedule for periodic special cleaning of public areas including gaming, offices, F&B outlets and back of the house areas.Perform random checking of all cleaning equipment to ensure that it is in good working condition.Prepare and submit reports for the daily planner accomplishment, shift endorsement, special project accomplishment and walkthrough accomplishments. Review checklists and logbooks during rounds. Relay findings and observations to the agency coordinator to address any findings or issues related to cleaning and reporting. Assist and monitor outside contractors for cleaning equipment, preventive maintenance, pest control, window cleaning and plant contractors, etc.Communicate and share to agency coordinators the directives, decisions and plans issued by the management as needed. Assist agency coordinators in communicating challenges and developing solutions to any encountered challenges.Report encountered challenges and offer initial solutions to superior for any unusual occurrence and challenges in public areas, offices, casino area, back of the house areas. Ensure that incident reports are submitted with accurate, detailed information and within his/her shift or not more than 24 hours. Liaise with agency coordinators for any concerns about deployed staff. Require agency coordinators to train their own staff and submit records of training. Monitor usage and availability of cleaning chemicals and supplies through agency coordinators. Report to Asst. Manager any inferior or substandard quality of cleaning due to unavailability or insufficient cleaning supplies and chemicals. Monitor, order and control usage of other supplies directly purchased by the company. Ensure that sufficient stocks are available for and well supplied at all times.Comply with the approved annual budget of the Department and fully cooperate in finding ways and best practices to save resources and optimize efficiency. Monitor shift briefings conducted by agency coordinators. Share important information and get updates and feedback from the coordinators on progress, challenges of any projects. Prepare daily work assignment and read shift handover reports for endorsement to agency coordinators as basis for list of tasks, projects and priorities that outsource staff needs to accomplish in their shifts. Gather all Public Area repair and maintenance issues from the agency coordinators for reporting to the Engineering department. Regularly check, validate and follow up all pending defects in the Public Area to ensure that rectification is done on time. Ensure furnishings and facilities are presentable, well maintained and in best working order. Participate in the quarterly review and appraisal of outsource agency overall performance.Coordinate with other departments for other special requirements such as pest control, fumigation, waste management, linen requirement, window glass cleaning, plants and flower requirement, defect issues and other requirements for yacht, airport lounge cleaning, etc. Assist other sections for any special projects and help gardeners and florists in the daily monitoring and ensuring that flower set ups and plant requirements for both outdoor and indoor are well taken care of at all times. QUALIFICATIONSCompleted at least 2 years in CollegeHas at least 3 years of leadership backgroundPreferably has solid experience of at least three (3) years in the same capacity within the hospitality industry
