In the Philippines, IPG Mediabrands was founded in 2015 by the late and beloved Venus Reyes-Navalta and is registered in SEC as IPG Mediabrands Philippines, Inc. We are structured in the country as an umbrella company of a number of brands or business units such as UM, Initiative, Magna, Orion, MediaBrands Content Studio (MBCS) plus our now affiliate Kinesso that incorporated its own company in 2021 to form Kinesso Philippines, Inc.

We are looking for an ASSOCIATE DIGITAL DIRECTOR who can join our INITIATIVE (media agency) team:

ABOUT THE TEAM

INITIATIVE is different to other media agencies.

We are not trapped by a legacy structure primarily centered on paid advertising. Instead, we are liberated by a new world structure designed to deliver highly differentiated and highly effective communications strategies for our clients.

Initiative is building the most streamlined and integrated Partnerships teams in the industry. We do not operate in silos. As such, our best and brightest Partnerships leaders from both Traditional and Digital backgrounds are charged with leading the Partnerships teams and delivering on the following:


• Digital marketplace landscape experts internally and with clients


• All digital media partner evaluation, selection and recommendations leveraging strategic / consumer insights, marketplace insights, and Initiative's proprietary partner selection data and toolsets


• Strategic, digital partnership solutions, negotiation/go‐to-market strategies, and audience—focused strategies, designed to deliver on client objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs)


• Innovation and emerging partner test opportunities to drive client KPIs


• Support MAGNA aggregate negotiations across all digital media channels


• Support and facilitate IPG Mediabrands corporate, agency and external media initiatives

THE ASSOCIATE DIGITAL DIRECTOR ROLE

The Associate Director, Digital Partnerships is responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring all digital media Partnership strategy and plans for clients, ensuring the work is to specification and correct as well as overseeing any applicable team work, resource/allocation, growth and development. The Associate Director will drive the team to explore and identify non-traditional partnerships opportunities and innovations. This is critical to their development and the success of the Partnerships division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client

  • Direct communication with clients for all marketplace intelligence, negotiation and partnership needs and share (with the Director) leadership accountability for team's day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Manage partnership deliverables and expectations with clients on a daily basis
  • Establish and maintain mid-level partner relationships on behalf of agency and client
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Analytics and Comms Design teams to ensure alignment with and delivery against client KPI's
  • Partner with other internal teams to drive integrated solutions for clients
  • Oversee partnership plan development, recommendation and implementation, incorporating necessary and appropriate rationale and research for client buy-in

Internal

  • Regularly provide performance assessments to the team and help them to work toward their professional goals
  • Promote an open working environment where opinions, views and ideas can be shared and curiosity is valued.
  • Partner with other internal teams to drive integrated solutions for clients
  • Mentor and assist in the training of all team members
  • Provide partner selection recommendation and justification designed to deliver on client KPI's using the most sophisticated use of data and analytics, via multi-faceted, strategic partnerships, while delivering maximum strategic value and efficiency
  • Responsible for ensuring the Digital Partnerships team has clear strategy, budget and objectives at all times

Commercial

  • Provide Partnerships support for various New Business pitches
  • Support and collaborate with all MB SBU's for maximum effectiveness and seamless integration onto client business
  • Support MAGNA aggregate negotiations across all Digital media channels

New Business

  • Participation in new business as required

Client

  • Successfully presents to clients with strong POVs and recommendations
  • Positive interactions with clients to gain their trust and show value
  • Identify new media opportunities for clients that align with their communications goals and marketing objectives

Internal

  • Manages the team by being a collaborative and engaged leader
  • Participates in agency and external personal growth and education initiatives to expand knowledge of broader media topics
  • Utilize data and analytics to make strategic recommendations to clients
  • Successful collaboration with Strategy, Comms Design, SBUs to develop media partnerships that meet client's objectives
  • Participates in new business pitches - competitive analysis, ideation

Commercial

  • Supports and delivers on MAGNA agency-wide media partnership targets
  • Ensures and advocates for agency partner relationships
  • Develop costs for new business exercises

New Business

  • Contribution to new business success (local market)
  • Positive contribution to new business performance

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of experience in digital media including 3+ years of management experience required
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to develop integrated marketing communication plans encompassing traditional and non-traditional media strategies
  • Ability to drive projects from conception to completion; project management experience
  • Proven knowledge of online planning and research tools and resources
  • Experience with campaign management/ad serving technology: Double Click DART, Atlas DMT
  • Preferred working knowledge of third party Internet marketing research: comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen NetView, @Plan, eMarketer and others
