Bookkeeper with Australian Payroll experience

Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Process payroll (Large accounts) using Australian payroll systems and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Prepare and submit BAS (Business Activity Statement) and PAYG (Pay As You Go) tax returns in a timely manner.
Reconcile payroll and financial data to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address financial queries and provide support.
Stay updated with changes in Australian payroll laws, taxation, and accounting standards to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CA certification is a plus.
Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper with a focus on Australian payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including tax rates, superannuation, and leave entitlements.
Proficiency in using accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks, and experience with AU payroll-specific software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and external agencies effectively.
Can start immediately
