JOB SUMMARY:

The SCM Logistics Associate is responsible for facilitating the CBU inbound and outbound traffic i.e., its transfer from port to vehicle yard/s, and its releasing & delivery from vehicle yard to dealer designated delivery location/s.

He/ She also oversees the daily operation of the nominated trucking provider and attend to dealer delivery requests / concerns.

He/ She acts as back-up for the import / export activities and other trade facilitations of Nissan.

JOB FUNCTION:

Closely coordinates with trucking providers regarding the daily trip plan and its actual transfers of vehicles from port to yard and deliveries from yard to dealer delivery locations. This might occasionally call to be present in the field.Coordinates and align with Vehicle Yard Operations and Import Operations regarding priority units for wholesale / retail volume needed by Sales.Coordinates with the port operator, PPA or other government agency which affects the trucking operations.Ensures that the necessary transactions in Nissan ERP is being done on time by the trucking service provider and liaise with IT to help resolve any system issue encountered.Checks, validates, and initially approve the trucking service provider's billing invoice Checks & analyze the required car carrier based on the CBU volume forecast and car carrier load capacityAttends to dealer delivery request or concernsAnalyze and generates report regarding logistics performance per dealershipsAssess and approves the manual pullout requests from the dealers.Assess and approves any overtime requests from the service providerReview and initially approve any process improvement or change in process proposed by the trucking service provider, dealers, or other NPI department related to CBU logisticsRaise and monitors claims to insurer / trucking service provider related to transportation incidentEnsures that necessary loading/unloading reference materials/standards are provided and properly cascaded to the trucking service provider/s on a timely basis (AQIM Standard, tie down points, etc)Conducts random audit on the conditions of the units at the port, during in-transit, or upon delivery to the dealersReviews and evaluates the trucking service provider's performance based on the set KPI through Monthly Performance Review Meeting Attends meetings that concerns CBU logistics operations (internal / external) Assists in the Budget preparation of the Section / Area; Continuous monitoring of actual performance versus budget (COGS)Initiates improvement solutions that improve efficiency, quality, or reduce logistics cost to NPI or external customers Support NMAP Logistics Audit under Trucking Management and its complianceActs as back up personnel to NPI's import/export operations which includes but not limited to:Monitoring and facilitation of shipment importations / exportsProper HS code classification and import declarationSpecial projects / tasks / assignmentCoordination with the broker, BOC, or other agency related to import/exportOther related duties and responsibilities that may be assign from time to time.The role has a clear impact on company's profitably if in the event there's lapses on the job MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education and Certification

Bachelor's Degree in Customs AdministrationLicensed Customs Broker 2. ExperienceAt least one (1) years' working experience in the same role or function Automotive industry experience is preferable. 3. Skills and CompetenciesDriving skills – both automatic and manualCompetency English language (written and spoken), fluent in FilipinoProficient in MS Office Exceptional influencing skillsExcellent problem solving and lateral thinking skillsKnowledge on commercial business acumen is a must to appreciate business complexitiesRequires to demonstrate strong leadership skills / need to be a team playerDeep knowledge and experience on logistics, supply chain and government related policies on trade facilitationHighly developed strategic orientation Strong customer focusAbility to build relationships across a diverse portfoliosCommitted to developed and investing time in the development of the organizational systems and enablers 4. Physical requirementsValid driver's licenseAmenable to frequent domestic & occasional overseas travel, around South East Asia or to Japan.
