The position sets the Supply Chain direction and implements the operational plan to ensure that the Group of companies (1) Maintain the right level of inventory of raw materials, WIP and finished goods at all times in order to support sales objectives and projected business growth (2) Deliver / distribute the finished products to customers nationwide in a timely and cost effective manner, and (3) Effectively purchase strategic and non-strategic goods and services to support Production, Marketing and all Service Departments.

The responsibility covers end to end activities of the Supply Chain Process to include coordination with Sales for Raw Materials Forecasting, sourcing and purchasing of strategic and non-strategic materials, efficient inventory management, and cost effective dispatch and distribution of raw materials and finished goods to customers nationwide.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Planning & Forecasting

• Develops the Purchasing Plan and strategy to source strategic and non-strategic materials and achieve better payment terms and bring down purchasing costs through purchasing best practices and strategies.
• Studies the distribution network and recommends ways to improve delivery services to customers and bring down distribution costs.
• Initiates development, review and revision of purchasing and distribution policies, processes and procedures to build and maintain efficiency in the entire supply chain.

Technical & Central Purchasing

• Leads the Purchasing team in adopting a more innovative approach in looking for suppliers and in recommending alternative materials to be purchased.
• Ensures accreditation of all local and foreign suppliers.
• Ensures that quotations and bids are secured in accordance with Purchasing Policies.

Traffic and Distribution

• Oversees development and implementation of an efficient nationwide distribution system to ensure prompt and cost effective delivery of orders to customers of the company.
• Evaluates the need for satellite warehouse to address distribution problems in the provinces and makes appropriate recommendations for approval by Management.

Inventory Management

• Develops and recommends to Management a more effective inventory Management system that allows real time monitoring of all raw materials and finished goods of all companies.
• Sets and recommends for approval by Management an appropriate level of inventories for raw materials and finished goods that balances both carrying costs and availability of inventory to support sales demands.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least twenty (20) years of solid work experience in Supply Chain Management gained from similar manufacturing companies with expertise in the area of Inventory Management
• Graduate of Marketing, Management, Business or Industrial Engineering
• Preferably with MBA degree
