Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)

This role is a unique opportunity to introduce an international company to the Philippines by creating, designing, operating and leading a team of individuals in our precision woodshop and production areas, using recyclable materials repurposed for furniture and household items.

The Production Lead will report to the Business Manager and Factory Manager and work alongside the production team, ensuring efficiency in delivering on production targets.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Passport for travel around Southeast Asia and Canada
  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field, certification or equivalent in woodworking, joinery or carpentry.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervision of the shop floor
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production management
  • Experience in managing a team and coordinating with different departments
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of quality control process and experience in implementing process improvements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and schedules the shop team, with daily shop meetings and task delegation
  • Manages the team's production schedule
  • Leads by example, ensures wood working practices are trained and maintained at a high standard
  • Interprets drawings and product specifications
  • Responsible for the quantity of products produced
  • Manages compliance to company and local safety guidelines
  • Manages upkeep of equipment preventive maintenance
  • Manages compliance to company manufacturing processes
  • Manages employee performance including attendance and performance reviews
  • Manages recruitment of new team members
  • Responsible for timesheet approvals
  • Develops talent within the team, supports team members to grow in their roles
  • Supports job quoting and estimates
  • Manage shop consumables

ERGO CONTRACTS PHILIPPINES, INC (ECPI) is the licensed manufacturer of Ergo products. The brand "Ergo" was established in 1985, making it the pioneer in the manufacturing of ergonomically designed chairs in the Philippines. ECPI is part of the Ergo Group of Companies which has manufacturing and distribution networks in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Australia and USA. 1985 witnessed the introduction of the first quiet titling, smooth swivel ergonomically designed chair in the Philippines through Amtraco, Inc. with the first commercial importation of 100 chairs aimed to be marketed to the chief executives of the top 500 corporations in the country.
