Our Bank Operations Group team is seeking recent graduates to join us in BGC, Taguig and Ortigas as Bank Operations Associate (Fund Transfer).

In this position, you will handle the daily procedures for all remittances, inter-bank fund transfers, demand drafts, and foreign currency check deposits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process all credit advice/fund transfer instructions daily, ensuring adherence to established controls, and carry out end-of-day reconciliation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile the working file, submit it to the FTD Officer for validation and approval, and execute fund transfer instructions from outlets through suitable remittance channels.
  • Address inquiries from outlets, correspondent banks, internal departments, and other banks, and initiate inquiries or investigations with correspondent and local banks when necessary.
  • Generate transaction accounting entries for Finance submission and create adjusting entries for FTD Officer endorsement and approval.
  • Handle foreign currency check deposits from outlets and provide disposition for float items.
  • Prepare regulatory reports (e.g., manual CTR and FED reports) and certifications as requested by clients for review and approval by FTD Head.
  • Maintain proper document and shared folder storage, adhere to data retention policy, act as a backup for other FTD Associates, collaborate for a successful audit rating, and escalate issues promptly to the FTD Officer/Head.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related Business field
  • 1-2 years of banking experience is advantageous, open to recent graduates as well
  • Basic understanding of accounting and reconciliation
  • Familiarity with Payment systems and processes (e.g. SWIFT, RTGS, PDDTS, PESONET) is advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
