Job Description

The opportunity

This Corporate Strategy Lead is critical in management and implementation of the organization's strategic initiatives for the CEO, senior executives, and leadership team. Working closely with HR, Internal Comms and other teams to execute and deliver the overall corporate strategy of the Manulife Philippines, while also focusing on strengthening relationships to solidify our market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the various groups to develop and execute the corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals. This includes identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for strategic partnerships to drive growth.
  • Work closely with the HR team to align the corporate strategy with talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives, with a focus on developing a high-performance culture that supports the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Partner with the Internal Comms team to effectively communicate and the corporate strategy to all employees and stakeholders, while also developing external communication strategies, including social media, to enhance the organization's reputation and market presence.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of strategic initiatives, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful execution, and leveraging external relationships to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the corporate strategy, leveraging external relationships to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange with external experts and industry leaders.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic plans and identify areas for improvement, leveraging external relationships to access industry best practices, benchmarking data, and expert advice to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Organize and execute enterprise-wide programs and initiatives such as but not limited to townhalls, leadership forum, CEO connect, and team-building activities to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Additionally, will establish effective collaboration practices and design enterprise-wide programs that keep all stakeholders well-informed, motivated, and aligned with the organization's goals and values through various channels and programs.
  • Establish effective leadership and building strong partnerships as essential to promoting a cohesive and productive work environment that supports the organization's goals. The role will ensure excellent management and implementation of successful programs and interventions that supports our high performing team and fosters our winning culture.
  • Proactively build and nurture relationships with industry leaders and key stakeholders to enhance the organization's market presence and drive strategic growth initiatives. This includes representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to cultivate relationships, best practice sharing and identify potential collaborations.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for strategic growth, leveraging external relationships to gain valuable insights and identify potential business opportunities.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree.
  • Proven experience in corporate strategy, business development, or management consulting, with a demonstrated ability to build and leverage external relationships to drive strategic growth initiatives and enhance market presence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and leverage external relationships to gain valuable market intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects, with a focus on delivering results and leveraging external relationships to drive successful execution.
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to think creatively and critically about business challenges and opportunities, leveraging external relationships to gain diverse perspectives and insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities, while leveraging external relationships to stay informed about market dynamics and industry trends.
