Assistant Production Team Leader

The Assistant Production Team Leader is to assist the Production Team Leader of being responsible in providing leadership and line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer. S/he oversees and handles the production workflow, housekeeping, manpower allocation/scheduling, and machine troubleshooting. This position is responsible in assisting the Plant Manager with day-to-day management of production area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

(The listed duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following key areas and performance indicators)

1. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within the team.
  • Daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
  • Communicate Key Performance Expectations or Indicators form the strategic annual plan from time-to-time so that each team members are aware of their expectations and deliverables
  • Provide operational and/or product expertise within the team and respond to operator queries
  • Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities

2. OPERATION AND QUALITY CONTROL

  • Facilitation of team effort to deliver and improve the quality of current systems and processes
  • Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards
  • Monitor workers on site during production activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures
  • Create work schedule for the team and ensure that they strictly adhere it
  • Develop production schedule for the execution of projects in a timely manner
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality
  • Reports and recommends solution to address non-conformance and unsatisfactory performance of operators in the production area
  • Trains and coaches machine operators in handling and operating machine
  • Ensures proper usage of raw materials, machine handling and equipment setting
  • Helps manage and control all quality control activities in accordance with identified production quality standards, company procedures, product specifications and requirements
  • Helps meet production output in relation to production plan and schedule, minimizing downtime

3. WORKPLACE SAFETY

  • Helps maintain a safe work environment and ensure that all company safety procedures are followed to include OSH compliance guidelines
  • Helps coordinate and secure the day to day operations of inspection personnel, so as to provide a safe, secure, and efficiently working environment, ensuring:

A. All plan and equipment is safely operated from any accident such as fire

B. All physical resources are maintained, stored, and organized to allow efficient and effective operation.

C. Ensure minimal or zero accident in the facility

4. ADMINISTRATIVE TASK AND REPORTING

  • Keep records of workers performance
  • Keep records of equipment, budgets, deliveries, and supplies, and make them available to the Line Manager for evaluation

5. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • The effective performance of the position requires that harmonious and productive working relationships are developed and maintained throughout different department and across the professional and administrative structure of the Company, and with external stakeholders. This position's internal rapport should include: Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any of equivalent.
  • Open for fresh graduates.
  • Must be able to handle group of people with different personality
  • Must have in depth knowledge in MS Office Applications
  • Willing to render shifting schedule (day shift-night shift)
  • Willing to work onsite in Bagumbayan, Taguig City from Monday to Saturday, 7 AM-3 PM with overtime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
