5 ELK is on the hunt for a General Insurance Administrator

The position is responsible for assisting the Account Executives in the development of new accounts and the servicing of existing accounts for General Insurance products.

Key accountabilities include providing service to existing clients through activities such as system processing, renewals, invoicing, responding to enquiries from existing and potential clients, general broking and claims lodging and progression and resolution involving liaison with underwriters.

What you will be doing:

Assisting Account Directors and Executives in the development of new insurance accounts

Servicing existing accounts for General Insurance products

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing pre-renewal, new business, renewal, endorsement, cancellation and lapse policies
  • Preparing quotations from various Australian insurers
  • Processing invoicing
  • Sending invoice letters to client
  • Preparing and processing premium funding quotations
  • Generating Certificate of Currency
  • Producing monthly renewal reports / tasks for team
  • Answering incoming calls and responding to queries
  • Assist in other administrative tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Computer skills including Word and Excel
  • The ability to be flexible in a rapidly growing organisation
  • Must possess strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to work autonomously as well as work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail in all areas of administration
  • Confidence on the phone as first representative of the business for new clients

Previous Insurance Broking Industry experience is preferred. General Insurance industry experience will be considered.
