The Credit Manager supports the business in achieving profitable growth by maintaining credit quality in line with agreed Business Writing Strategies consistent with the Bank's credit principles, policies, and procedures.

The Credit Manager is expected to conduct:

Assessment and communication of decisions on credit and portfolio quality matters in an effective and timely manner.

Being alert and act promptly to warning signs of credit deterioration, ensuring no surprises. Ensure the proactive management of problem accounts so that appropriate strategies for remediation are developed, approved and regularly reviewed.

Identify high risk exposures when assessing credit proposals and upward tier the file to senior credit executives.

Identify policy and procedure inconsistencies, gaps and inhibitors

Support the wider Credit team with initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Training support/mentoring to assist raising the quality of credit proposals and portfolio management.

Building sound relationships and information flows with key stakeholders.

In addition, He/She will also be expected to

Attend relevant Business & Risk governance forums and workshops as required

Identify opportunities to enhance compliance, risk practices and processes, improve efficiency/effectiveness to achieve improved outcomes

Ensure a speak-up mindset is embedded and key financial or regulatory/compliance matters are escalated appropriately

Ensure ANZ's iCARE are always maintained in dealing with internal and external stakeholders

Promote an environment which fosters mutual understanding of ANZ Risk Culture.

Role Location: 12F Solaris One Building, Makati City
Shift Schedule: Dayshift schedules will be adhered to, Mondays-Fridays, Hybrid work Set up, Australian holidays observed

What will you bring?

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following -

Tertiary qualifications in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Law would be desirable.

Good understanding of Group credit principles and policies (including Judgemental Credit Requirements).

Well developed, advanced credit assessment and analysis skills to exercise a Credit Approval Discretion (CAD) making soundly based credit decisions and follow effective risk management practices which meets Business targets through acceptance of sound, profitable transactions across range of products and industries

Advanced interpersonal skills demonstrating collaboration, balance, decisiveness, and solution focus.

Excellent communication skills with an ability to summarise complicated situations to enable stakeholders to understand the risks and have confidence in the credit strategy being adopted.
