Role Overview

An Operations Director plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, and enhancing profitability across all outlets or units. This senior management position involves strategic planning, staff management, budgeting, and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

Oversee the daily operations of all F&B outlets.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards.Streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Strategic Planning:Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals.Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.Plan and execute expansion strategies for new outlets or markets.Financial Management:Prepare and manage budgets.Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions to achieve financial targets.Analyze financial reports to optimize resource allocation.Quality Control:Maintain high standards of food quality and service.Implement and monitor quality control programs.Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly.Staff Management:Recruit, train, and supervise managers and staff.Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.Develop and implement training programs for skill enhancement.Supply Chain Management:Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts.Ensure a reliable supply chain for high-quality ingredients and materials.Optimize inventory management to prevent shortages or overstocking.Customer Experience:Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.Develop initiatives to improve the overall dining experience.Implement feedback mechanisms to understand customer preferences and issues.Technology Integration:Implement new technologies to streamline operations.Use data analytics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.Ensure systems are in place for online ordering, reservations, and customer relationship management (CRM). Skills and Qualifications Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.Experience:Extensive experience in the F&B industry, with a proven track record in a senior management role.Experience in multi-unit management is highly desirable.Leadership Skills:Strong leadership and people management skills.Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets.Financial Acumen:Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.Understanding of financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with staff, suppliers, and stakeholders.Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Capability to handle operational challenges and implement effective solutions.Customer Focus:Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.Ability to anticipate and respond to customer needs.Technology Proficiency:Familiarity with restaurant management software and other relevant technologies.Proficiency in data analysis tools and CRM systems.
