Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)

  • Manages assigned purchase requisitions, ensures timely release of purchase orders/contracts, and goods received by the requesting proponents are on-time
  • Communicates with the relevant proponents regarding their requirements and the best possible way to procure it
  • Monitors payment to vendors are released on-time
  • Generates status reports of on-going requisitions
  • Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to identify opportunities to reduce overall purchasing costs.
  • Identify opportunities for economies of scale
  • Lead negotiations on behalf of the team
  • Maintains and manages strong business relationships with key vendors to uncover and realize potential new value and reduce risks of failure
  • Monitors and evaluates contractual arrangements to make sure that vendors are complying with previously agreed upon terms and conditions.
  • Monitors vendor performance based on indicators established and provides feedback or improvement points as necessary
  • Develops, hones, and executes effective procure to pay processes and strategies across the various business units.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree holder
  • At least 5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management
  • With experience in managing a small team
  • Background knowledge of specific industries and markets related to business unit/s to be handled (Hydro and/or Power Industry)
  • Proficiency in Procurement/ERP systems
  • Designed and effectively implemented procurement processes and improvements

First Gen Corporation (First Gen) is a leading independent power producer in the Philippines that primarily utilizes clean and indigenous fuels such as natural gas, geothermal energy from steam, hydro-electric, wind, and solar power. The company is one of the top producers of clean and renewable energy in the Philippines. We operate 30 power plants across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, with 3,495 megawatts (MW) of capacity - 21% of the country's gross generation.

First Gen is a natural gas pioneer and owns four out of the five natural gas-fired power plants in the country. These are the 1500-MW Sta. Rita and San Lorenzo plants, the 97-MW Avion and the 414-MW San Gabriel power plant. Avion will be the first power plant in the Philippines to run on aero-derivative gas turbines while the San Gabriel plant is expected to be the most efficient natural gas-fired plant in Southeast Asia. First Gen also has the largest portfolio of power plants that use clean, renewable and indigenous fuels. The plants are present in all three grids of the Philippines, and can serve the baseload, mid-merit and peaking market segments.
