Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Service Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Service team to hit jobbing services to clients.
  • Daily review of work in progress report with the Service Supervisors, Service Advisors, and Chief Technician.
  • Review on time completion report and determine corrective actions as necessary
  • Work with Sales Managers to determine what components need to be available as rebuilt or tested
  • Manage relationships with clients.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in the Service department
  • Work with the Sales team.
  • Ensure safety standards are upheld
  • Provide technical assistance and support
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, and handle employee discipline as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • Degree, diploma or trade certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Operations Management, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years managing a Service Shop or related field
  • Knowledge of Liugong and Sinotruk machineries an asset
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma an asset
