Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Role Summary: 

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant chain's operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. They provide direction and guidance to Area Managers, who in turn manage individual restaurant branches.

 

Strategic Planning and Process Improvement

Develop and implement long-term operational plans that maximize efficiency and profitability across the entire restaurant chainIdentify opportunities and lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance customer experience and customer journeyAnalyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and benchmarkingAnalyze company-wide data to identify trends and opportunitiesConduct root cause analysis to identify and address any issues impacting sales, customer satisfaction, or operational efficiencySet clear sales and profit targets, develop strategic plans and promotions to achieve sales goalsCoordinate with Marketing to plan and implement marketing strategies and promotional campaignsAssist the Executive Chef with menu management

 

Resource Management and Cost Control

Oversee the allocation of resources (personnel, equipment, supplies) across all branches to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness in coordination with Area ManagersDevelop and implement cost-control measures to minimize expenses without compromising quality standardsAnalyze cost structures and identify areas for cost reduction or savings opportunitiesEstablish performance goals and metrics for Area Managers and individual branchesConduct regular audits or inspections together with respective departments in the Head Office Training Manager or Training Officer to ensure adherence to quality standards and operational proceduresCoordinate with the Executive Chef and Roving Chefs in maintaining food quality and safety and observance of standard cooking proceduresManage quality assurance programs and implement strategies to consistently deliver exceptional customer serviceMonitor emergency preparedness plans of all restaurants (e.g. fire, power outage, medical emergencies)

 

Performance Management and Quality Assurance

Establish performance goals and metrics for Area Managers and individual branchesConduct regular audits or inspections together with respective departments in the Head Office Training Manager or Training Officer to ensure adherence to quality standards and operational proceduresCoordinate with the Executive Chef and Roving Chefs in maintaining food quality and safety and observance of standard cooking proceduresManage quality assurance programs and implement strategies to consistently deliver exceptional customer serviceMonitor emergency preparedness plans of all restaurants (e.g. fire, power outage, medical emergencies)

 

People Management and Development

Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Area Managers, fostering their professional development and growthCollaborate with the Training Manager and Training Officer to develop and implement training programs for all levels of staffValidate leadership performance and potential of the restaurant leadership team and other staff membersEstablish clear expectations and performance standards for all employeesPartner with HR and Training to come up with culture-building initiatives to sustain employee engagement and satisfactionDevelop and implement with HR a talent development and succession plan Communicate effectively with Senior Management regarding operational performance, challenges, and opportunitiesFoster strong collaboration between Area Managers and other departments (e.g., HR, Marketing, Finance) to ensure alignment and smooth operations across the entire organization

Other Responsibilities

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to implement operational improvements across all branches and brands Prepare comprehensive reports in coordination with Area Managers, on brand and branch performance, including sales, costs, and customer satisfaction metricsPerform related duties and tasks assigned by Senior ManagementExercise due diligence to protect intellectual property rights and proprietary information of Mc Wilson CorporationAbide by the Mc Wilson Corporation Code of Conduct and Code of Discipline
