MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Operational Management and Performance Monitoring:Manage day-to-day activities of the section;Oversee daily operations to ensure optimal performance and 100% compliance with regulatory standards for potable water and effluent quality;Ensure daily production targets specified by Water Network Operations are met;Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess plant efficiency and effectiveness;Collaborate with process engineers to optimize treatment processes and reduce operational costs;Ensure coordination with both internal MWSI offices and external stakeholders;Submit accurate daily production and monthly reports on a regular basis, or as needed, to the Head of Water Production - ModTP & New Water;Create and implement balanced scorecards for staff to ensure alignment with the company's objectives and goals;Executes management policies; appoints, disciplines or dismisses subordinate employees (hires and fires); further, the incumbent's suggestions/ recommendations on the change of an employee's status is given notable weight;Implement and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements;Ensure all plant operations adhere to IMS protocols to achieve continuous improvement in quality, health, safety, and environmental performance.


 

Budget Management:Develop and manage the annual budget for the treatment plant;Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement;Ensure all expenditures are within the approved budget and identify opportunities for financial savings.Capacity BuildingAssess the training needs of plant personnel based on required technical competencies;Initiate and coordinate necessary training programs with the Department and HR through WP3 Support Services;Conduct continuous in-house personnel training;Monitor and evaluate staff performance continuously.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSES

 

Graduate of Engineering 

Licensed Engineer  (Chemical, Sanitary/Environmental, Civil or Mechanical Engineering)

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

 

With at least five  years of relevant work experience 

With at least two  years of managerial work experience
