Job Title: HR Assistant
Location: San Juan
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday
Job Summary: The HR Assistant will support the HR department in various functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and administration. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial screenings.
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires including orientation sessions and documentation.
- Employee Records Management:
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process HR documents such as employment contracts, amendments, and terminations.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Assist with the administration of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Support the enrollment and administration of employee benefits programs.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a professional and confidential manner.
- Performance Management:
- Support the performance appraisal process by tracking evaluation dates and coordinating with managers.
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops for employees.
- Maintain records of training activities and employee participation.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of HR reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- General Administration:
- Provide administrative support to the HR department including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Assist in organizing company events and activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in an HR role or administrative support.
- Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
