Job description

Job Title: HR Assistant

Location: San Juan

Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday

Job Summary: The HR Assistant will support the HR department in various functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and administration. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Assist in the recruitment process including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial screenings.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires including orientation sessions and documentation.
  • Employee Records Management:
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process HR documents such as employment contracts, amendments, and terminations.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration:
  • Assist with the administration of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Support the enrollment and administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Performance Management:
  • Support the performance appraisal process by tracking evaluation dates and coordinating with managers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
  • Training and Development:
  • Coordinate training sessions and workshops for employees.
  • Maintain records of training activities and employee participation.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of HR reports to management and regulatory bodies.
  • General Administration:
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Assist in organizing company events and activities.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 1 year of experience in an HR role or administrative support.
    • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
