QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent.Professional License At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in heavy industry is required for this position.Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.ROLE PURPOSEResponsible for the overall Instrument and control maintenance of the process plant and other areas where necessary. Provide oversight and guidance to the Process Plant Electrical & Instrumentation area MV/LV applications with the extended Automation Systems. Ensure the works on the disciplines of Instrumentation, Communications Automation and Process Control is completed safely on schedule and in accordance with the schedules and procedures to ensure interdisciplinary coordination and timely completion of the work. The support will also include small projects to enhance plant steady-state operation and throughput. Ensure compliance with process plant policies regarding health, safety and environmental performance. Monitor progress and provide reports and input to maintain the schedule completion of activities. Coordinate and communicate with other disciplines and functions to manage the work and provide assistance in resolving issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Ensure control systems are managed professionally.Provide Engineering input into the plant automation projects.Effective automation and SCADA System operation and improvement.Support the Instrumentation Supervisor with technical advice.Provide supervision to Instrument Trades when the Instrumentation Supervisor is rostered off.Assess and propose potential improvements to plant process controls.Develop in-house knowledge of other team members in the specialist field.Perform other task that may be assigned.
