We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Assistant to join our Finance Team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in payroll processing, specifically handling Philippine Payroll, and a solid understanding of compensation and benefits. The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and providing support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

Assist in the preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll for employees.Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, including salaries, benefits, deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and regulations related to payroll.Prepare and submit government-mandated reports and remittances, such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR.Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and reports for audit purposes.

Employee Support:

Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies or issues.Provide information and support regarding compensation, benefits, and payroll processes.

Record Maintenance:

Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salaries, benefits, tax status, and other deductions.Ensure proper documentation and filing of payroll-related records.

Compensation and Benefits:

Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.Support the HR team in conducting compensation and benefits surveys and benchmarking.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll administration and contribute to the implementation of new procedures.Stay updated on best practices and trends in payroll management.

 

 

Qualifications:

Experience:

1 to 2 years of experience in payroll processing within a BPO setup.Experience handling Philippine Payroll is required.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of Philippine labor laws and regulations related to payroll and benefits.Knowledgeable in compensation and benefits administration.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.

Other Requirements:

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime, if needed.
